Khalifa University Professor of Nuclear Engineering Speaks about National Capacity Building Strategy
In an interview with the UAE Permanent Mission in Vienna, Professor Philip Albert Beeley of the Khalifa University of Science, Technology and Research (KU) talks about the establishment of the national educational system in nuclear science and technology in the United Arab Emirates.

Jamila Alsuwaidi was inspired by physics since she was in primary school, wanting to examine Materials Science – from the atomic scale, all the way up to the macro scale. As she obtained several degrees in Nuclear Physics, she now enjoys her successful career as a Senior Nuclear Safety Assessment specialist at the Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation (FANR).

Ayesha Sulaiman Al Khadouri is in charge of International Cooperation at the Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation (FANR). She started at FANR in 2009 as an External Affairs Researcher in the Government Communications Department. Ayesha supports the UAE’s nuclear regulatory body in the area of public and stakeholders engagement, to ensure a safe and sustainable nuclear energy programme.
